Thank you for your interest in and past support of Virginia Head Start Association. We know that you share our vision of providing a quality early childhood experience for children from low income families.We urge you to consider your commitment to the most vulnerable of Virginia's children by joining our corporate partners program.

Your participation in this program is more critical than ever. Head Start programs have not had a budget increase of any substance in eight years. But they have seen transportation, fringe benefits, and food costs sky-rocket in that time. They are doing everything possible to make their dollars go farther and bring a quality experience to the children and families they serve. Your participation in our corporate partners program will ensure that we keep costs for things like training conferences as low as possible so that their funds can be used for direct services.

Our corporate partnership program is open to all profit and non-profit organizations seeking a collaborative effort to represent products or services to the Virginia Head Start community. Our corporate partnership program offers interested parties opportunities to demonstrate their support and maximize exposure around the Head Start community -- 14,000 children, 54 agencies, $98+million in combined budgets.

A key opportunitiy to reach members happens each year at the annual training conference. This event has grown significantly in the past few years. Three years ago, about 150 persons registered; in 2007, 350; in 2008, 454. We are expecting 500 in 2009. This event always includes a large number of directors and other decision-makers. Last year 40 of the 52 directors attended; in addition, five Executive Directors and eight Board members participated.

We are careful to ensure that our exhibits are located in a high traffic area; we work to assure that exhibit hours allow all participants ample opportunity to visit. In addition, exhibitors are welcomed at conference events.

We hope that you will be a part of this exciting event each year.
