The Virginia Head Start Association is delighted to announce its second training conference exclusively for infant and toddler programs. This event is designed specifically for staff persons who work with infants and toddlers.

This conference is co-sponsored by the Virginia Head Start Association, the Office of Early Childhood Development, and the Head Start State-Based Technical Assistance Office with Zero to Three.

Tuesday, August 11

11 am to 12 noon -- Registration
12 noon to 2 pm -- Opening Plenary Luncheon with Speaker: Right From the Start: Laying the Foundation for Learning Using the Five R’s - Donna Britt, Speaker
2:15 to 4:30 pm -- Little Voices, Healthy Choices
5 pm -- Polar Bear Picnic (ice cream and goodies!) Networking Session

Wednesday, August 12

8 am -- Light Breakfast
8:30 to 10 am -- Workshops: Choose from Language Development, Environments for Infants and Toddlers, Brain Development
10 to 10:15 am -- Break
10:15 to 11:45 am -- Workshops: : Choose from Assessment: The OUNCE; Cultural diversity/parent involvement; Attachment/Social-emotional Development
12 noon to 3 pm -- Lunch and Plenary: Program Practices Showcase

Registration

Registration fees: $150, due July 24. Late fee of $50 per person applied after July 24.

This covers one breakfasts, two lunches, breaks, program materials, and workshops

Note: Conference will begin at noon on August 11 and end at 3:00 p.m. August 12.
