- This 4-hour virtual learning cohort will cover the basics of Head Start leadership, including Operations, Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) Leadership Styles, Continuous Quality Improvement, and more.
- The National Head Start Association will provide instructors/facilitators for both virtual sessions.
- Veteran leaders are welcome to attend, however the intent is for new managers/directors (3 years or less), or those who are interested in growing into Head Start leadership roles.
- Participants will:
- Be from Virginia only, as this is sponsored through the Virginia Head Start Association as a Community of Practice, which also aims to build our working relationships around the state.
- Have access to materials in an online Learning Management System.
- Write two brief reflections to complete for the course: one at the beginning and one at the end of the course.
- Be issued a certificate upon successful completion. This involves completing both reflections and attending both virtual sessions.
- Participants will receive access to the online modules in early March 2026.
